Postcard is of "Alder Fill (Neppel Crossing)" over Moses Lake in Moses Lake, WA. Image of embankment dam (earth fill) with roadway and bridge with several buildings, telephone poles and trees in background. 1940s automobile driving on roadway away from viewer. Railroad cars on railroad track near buildings.
Cancelled green 1 cent George Washington stamp in proper upper right hand corner on reverse. Postmark is "MOSES LAKE, / JUL 28 / 8 -AM / 1947 / WASH." and is near stamp on reverse. Reverse of card: "POST CARD / CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS" printed on top half of postcard. "Dear Ones. Sun. 5pm / Sure seemed good to talk / to you just now. I'm / going to try to check / up and see what I / can find out about / bus schedules too so / that we can figure / out something definite / Wed. night. I sure / hope the weather / stays cool and that / you can stay here / with me until I get them. / Henry check to see if you / can get a but out of Pendelton / to Pasco or Linde would be closest. / Love Vern" is handwritten in cursive in blue ink on correspondence side on reverse of postcard. "Mrs. L.W. Routh, / 240 Pierce St., / Twin Falls, Idaho." is handwritten in cursive in blue ink on address side on reverse of postcard.
