Postcard is of Columbia River and hillsides with early dam work visible and "Top of Completed Dam" with sketch drawn where dam would be placed.
Reverse of card: "PHOTO POST CARD / ADDRESS" printed on top half of postcard. "Kodak / PLACE / STAMP / HERE / Paper" in stamp box. Reverse of postcard has no stamp but is cancelled, "MANHATTEN / JUN / 1 / 1960 / MONT." "V 6-24-60 Card 29, 10th day / Glacier/ The towns around Grand Coulee aree shadsvilles but goo. Were bult to house construction workers who were working on the dam & now house maintenace works- ers. Acres of ran down homes, deserted houses & cheap bars. We go lost & I had to go into 'Mom's Bar' to aks directions. Mom was a saloon - keeping woman straight out of the old west with rings on her fingers, spit curls, & tough as nails. Reminded." written in ink on correspondence side of postcard.
