Name Neppel
Details The city of Moses Lake, WA was once known as Neppel. Guy R. Ramsey in his booklet on Grant County past offices notes that F.A. Negel was the promoter of the town and when a past office was acquired at the end of 1911 his name may have been misread by post office officials.

Vessel made out of apple wood turned by Ken Goodrich. Wood came from apple tree that lined Neppel Crossing (Alder Street land fill) in Moses Lake, WA.

The Neppel Commercial Co. was owned by Ed Leland and Emil Rudlof. The pair formed a partnership with Harvey Smith to buy most of the platted lots in Neppel, WA from the Brunder family in 1927. The grocery store was sold in the early 1940s to Charles McCosh. Matt is 12" x 16".
