Description Black and white photograph with white border of grave of Chief Moses in Nespelem, WA. Image of large light colored engraved tombstone inside wooden picket fence with vegetation on ground and vegetation and wooden crosses in background behind fence. Inscription on tombstone reads: "CHIEF MOSES / BORN / 1829 / DIED / MAR. 25, 1899 / AGED / 70 YRS." Engravings/carvings include a slanted Latin-style cross near top of tombstone above inscription, design of lines and circles below inscription, and "MOSES" in large capital letter on base. Cross has "I.H.S" engraved on horizontal bar. "Nespelem / Wash." written in cursive in black ink near top of paper on back of photo. "7" written in blue possible crayon on back of photo near middle of paper.
